This free workshop will introduce participants to secondary data analysis opportunities in disability and rehabilitation research. We will provide information on the value of secondary data analysis in advancing scholarship and practice; how to find and select secondary data related to a topic of interest; and the fundamentals of accessing, managing, and analyzing archived data.
The workshop will be led by data archivists and researchers from the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) at the University of Michigan and the Center for Large Data Research and Data Sharing in Rehabilitation (CLDR) at the University of Texas Medical Branch. We will use both didactic learning methods and hands-on activities. The information and skills will be particularly beneficial for students, post-docs, and junior investigators looking for ways to establish and/or enhance their research programs.
