Don’t have Stata installed on your local laptop?  In this workshop, you will learn to run Stata remotely on the Farmshare servers using X-windows, as well as get a basic introduction to using Stata.  X-windows provides the Stata point and click interface (GUI) available on a Windows, Mac, or Linux installed version.  You will also learn to navigate the remote server and securely transfer your data, do, and other Stata files between Farmshare and your local computer.

Digitizing 18th Century Editions of the Encyclopedia Britannica

The National Library of Scotland has released a dataset that digitizes the first eight editions of the Encyclopedia Britannica, which publishers issued between 1768 and 1860. The dataset contains over 155,000 image and XML file pairings and nearly 167 million words.

Today the U.S. Census Bureau released a new resource page on Census.gov to help federal agencies, businesses, and communities make decisions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Similar to the Census Bureau’s resources pages created during natural disasters, this resource page includes information on population demographics, economic indicators and businesses.

OSHPD (California Office of Statewide Health Planning & Development)

Wholesale acquisition cost (WAC) reports are now available for prescription drug cost increases for all four quarters of 2019. These reports are submitted to the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) from drug manufacturers for price increases above the statutory threshold.
