ICPSR: Latest update for Summer Program course formats

Happy 2020 Summer Program!

Today is the official beginning of the 2020 ICPSR Summer Program! We're so glad that we can offer the program this year, and though we will miss seeing everyone in Ann Arbor or in our off-site locations, we have been working to make this year's program as academically fulfilling as any other with as many networking opportunities as we can arrange in a virtual environment.

ICPSR Summer Program 2020: Qualitative & mixed methods workshops starting soon!

Add a new layer to your research design!

You may know us as the ICPSR Summer Program, or just the Summer Program, or some combination of math/stats/nerd camp, but here's some trivia for your Tuesday: our full name is the ICPSR Summer Program in Quantitative Methods of Social Research. Yet even that doesn't include everything we do! We also teach methods involving a more qualitative approach, and today we are featuring a handful of short workshops that fit that mold.

Data visualization and process tracing with the ICPSR Summer Program

Three short workshops, three days each. In addition to our popular Process Tracing workshop, we have two different visualization options using R, one focusing on ggplot2 and static images, the other using Shiny to make interactive graphics. And if those terms went just a little over your head, we totally get it, and we made a number of Introduction to R courses to help out!

Upcoming deadline for applications to PSID Data User Workshop (June 15-19)

Applications for this year's short workshop focusing on the Panel Study of Income Dynamics are due April 17. This workshop also carries a drastically reduced fee: $100 for admitted participants. Keep reading for more information on this workshop and how to apply!
Reminder: all 2020 ICPSR Summer Program courses will be held online.
